Dr. Shoshana Blumenthal is passionate about all aspects of dermatology including adult and pediatric general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and most of all surgical dermatology and cutaneous oncology. She is not only interested in managing skin cancers but will actively work with patients to reduce the number of future skin cancers. 

Dr. Blumenthal earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and subsequently earned her Master of Professional Studies from the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin earning her Medical Doctorate where she was selected for membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Blumenthal completed her intern year at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, after which she moved to Minneapolis for her dermatology training at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Blumenthal tries to treat each patient as she would want a dermatologist to treat her own mother, father, or sibling. She is a patient-oriented physician and tries to get to know her patients personally, believing it is important not to take a one-size-fits-all approach. She incorporates the latest research and clinical practice guidelines to develop an individualized treatment plan suited to each patient’s needs and wishes. 

Throughout her training and career, Dr. Blumenthal has been involved in significant research and has published numerous manuscripts in prestigious dermatologic journals. She is committed to constantly learning, keeping up with the newest literature and procedural techniques. She attends various conferences to learn amongst her peers and master new skills particularly in the areas of cosmetics and surgery. 

In her free time, Dr. Blumenthal enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her puggle, Samson. She is a certified hot yoga teacher and practices yoga regularly. She also loves going to concerts, stand-up comedy shows, and most of all, exploring the world through travel. Dr. Blumenthal speaks fluent Hebrew and Spanish.
